Tame My Inbox is an AI-powered productivity suite for Gmail. We provide intelligent categorization, AI-drafted responses, commitment tracking, calendar intelligence, voice assistant capabilities, and detailed analytics to help you master your inbox. Learn more about Tame My Inbox.
Tame My Inbox ("we," "our," "us") is operated by Wise Roots LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our email management application at tamemyinbox.com. We believe in transparency — this policy is written in plain language, not legal jargon.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Your email address
- Google profile information (name, profile picture)
- Payment information (processed securely through Stripe — we never see your credit card details)
Gmail Data (when you connect)
- Read access to your inbox to categorize and analyze emails
- Read access to sent emails (up to 50 most recent) to understand your communication style
- Email metadata (sender, subject, date, thread information)
- Send on your behalf — ONLY when you explicitly click "Send" on a draft we generate
Google Drive Data (Pro and Business plans)
- Access only to files you explicitly interact with through the app
- We save attachments to your Drive only when you request it
Communication Profile
- Answers to your communication style quiz
- Voice profile patterns learned from your sent emails
- These are used solely to personalize your experience and draft replies in your voice
Voice Data (Business plan)
- Voice commands and interactions processed by our AI voice assistant
- Voice data is processed in real-time and never stored permanently
Calendar Data (when connected)
- Google Calendar event data (titles, times, attendees)
- Used to provide meeting preparation briefs and schedule visualization
Usage Analytics
- Page views, feature usage frequency, and session duration
- Email volume metrics (number of emails processed) for product improvement
- Aggregated, anonymous data to understand how the app is used
2. Google API Services — Limited Use Disclosure
Tame My Inbox's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically:
- We only access Gmail data to provide inbox categorization and reply drafting features as described in this policy.
- We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide and improve the service, with user consent, or as required by law.
- We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements.
- We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless we have the user's affirmative agreement, it is necessary for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or for our internal operations where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Categorize your emails using AI (Important, Action Needed, FYI, etc.)
- Generate draft replies in your communication style
- Show you analytics about your inbox patterns
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Send you transactional emails (e.g., welcome, billing updates)
We do NOT use your data to:
- Train our AI models (we use third-party AI that also doesn't train on your data)
- Sell or rent your information to third parties
- Show you advertisements
- Build marketing profiles about you
- Share with anyone except as required by law or to provide our service
4. Data Storage & Retention
Email content is temporary
When we process your emails for categorization or draft generation, we keep them in a temporary cache for 24-48 hours maximum. After that, they are automatically deleted. We do not store a permanent copy of your email content.
What we DO store long-term
- Your account information and preferences
- Your communication profile and voice patterns
- Usage statistics and analytics (aggregated and anonymized)
- Draft replies you haven't sent yet (stored for up to 7 days)
Deletion Policy
- Users can request immediate deletion of cached data by disconnecting Gmail.
- Account deletion removes all user data including profiles, preferences, and cached content.
- OAuth tokens are deleted when a user disconnects Gmail or deletes their account.
Payment data
Stripe handles all payment processing. We only store your Stripe customer ID to manage your subscription — we never see or store your actual credit card information.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following trusted third-party services to provide our app:
- Google Gmail API — for reading emails and sending user-approved replies. Governed by the Google API Services User Data Policy.
- Anthropic Claude API — for AI-powered email analysis and reply drafting. Anthropic does not retain user data submitted through the API.
- Stripe — for payment processing. Stripe handles all payment data; we do not store credit card numbers.
- ElevenLabs — for voice assistant capabilities (Business plan). Voice data is processed in real-time.
- Resend — for transactional emails (daily digests, reminders, welcome emails).
- Google Analytics — for anonymous usage analytics and site performance monitoring.
Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
6. Data Security
We take security seriously:
- Encryption: All data is transmitted over HTTPS with TLS encryption
- Access tokens: Your Google access tokens are encrypted at rest
- Database access: Our database is isolated and access-controlled
- Infrastructure: We use bank-grade encryption and security practices to protect your data
However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights & Controls
You can at any time:
- Disconnect Gmail: Revoke our access from your Google account settings
- Delete your account: Go to Settings → Delete Account. This removes all your data from our servers.
- Revoke Google access: Visit your Google Account Permissions page
- Export your data: Contact us to request a copy of your stored data
- Request data deletion: Contact us and we'll delete your information within 30 days
9. CCPA / GDPR Rights
For California Residents (CCPA)
- Right to Know: You can request details about the categories of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to Delete: You can request that we delete your personal information (subject to certain exceptions).
- Right to Opt-Out: You have the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information.
For EU Residents (GDPR)
- Right of Access: You have the right to request copies of your personal data.
- Right to Rectification: You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate.
- Right to Erasure: You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
- Right to Restrict Processing: You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data.
- Right to Data Portability: You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you.

10. How to Revoke Access
You can disconnect Tame My Inbox from your Gmail account at any time:
- From Tame My Inbox: Go to Settings → Connected Accounts → Click "Disconnect Gmail"
- From Google: Visit https://myaccount.google.com/permissions, find "Tame My Inbox," and click "Remove Access"
Revoking access immediately stops Tame My Inbox from accessing your Gmail data. Any cached email data will be automatically purged within 48 hours, or you can delete your account for immediate removal.
11. Children's Privacy
Our service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will notify you by email or through a notice in the app. Your continued use of Tame My Inbox after any changes means you accept the updated policy.
